The Atlanta Institute Of Music is a 24,000-square-foot (2,200 m2) facility with an instrumental certificate program for guitar, bass and drums. A recording arts program, complete with DigiDesign Pro Tools training, began in October 2008. The facility comprises classrooms, recording studios, a library, private lesson rooms, a performance hall, a student lounge, and video viewing and practice areas, and digital practice rooms. The performance halls and classrooms are outfitted with the latest, top-of-the-line amplification gear, acoustic and electric drum kits and recording equipment. It is located in Duluth, Georgia.
Guitarist Jason Becker once performed a 90 minute guitar clinic at the school. Also Richie Kotzen and Paul Gilbert performed a guitar clinic at the school.
